We Speak Eleven Has Two Cultural Platforms:
The Musical
Two traveling groups
Group 1 – National Tour
A South African production touring theaters, community halls, and schools across the country — including rural and undeserved areas — bringing culture directly to communities, with a strong educational focus for young audiences.
Group 2 – International Touring Group
A separate production touring internationally to present South Africa’s cultural diversity abroad — promoting understanding, cultural diplomacy, and tourism through the arts.
The Festival (2027)
The first We Speak Eleven Festival will take place in 2027, bringing all cultural communities together in one shared environment.
The festival is structured around 15 Cultural Villages, where languages, music, food, storytelling, and traditions are experienced side by side — with equal visibility, dignity, and respect for every culture

We Speak Eleven – The Musical celebrates South Africa’s linguistic and cultural diversity through music, storytelling, and live performance. This stage production brings together performers from all communities to showcase a shared national heritage, creating an immersive experience that is equal parts entertainment, education, and cultural celebration.
As an independent, non-profit cultural initiative, the musical is carefully designed to reflect the vision and values of We Speak Eleven, with no commercial or political influence.

We Speak Eleven is an independent national cultural initiative celebrating South Africa’s linguistic and cultural diversity. Through music, storytelling, and live performance, the project brings together communities from all 11 official languages to share their heritage, culture, and everyday stories.
The initiative operates independently and has been privately supported during its early development. This independence has allowed careful, deliberate growth, free from political alignment, commercial pressure, or external influence.
We Speak Eleven welcomes ethical partnerships, sponsorships, and institutional collaboration that align with its mission of cultural preservation, inclusivity, and national unity.

For decades, each community celebrated separately. Now, for the first time, we bring all cultural groups into one space—equal in visibility, equal in dignity, and united in experience.

The current festival framework is structured around fifteen Cultural Villages to ensure clarity, balance, and equal representation.
Should future editions of We Speak Eleven require additional villages to reflect emerging cultural needs or recognized heritage distinctions, any expansion will be considered through the same documented fairness, consultation, and governance processes outlined in the Governance & Anti-Corruption Charter.

We Speak Eleven was created from a simple conviction: Cultural dignity begins with equal space.
This project is not about personalities, ownership, or visibility. It exists to create a shared environment where South Africans can encounter one another through culture — not debate, not competition, but lived experience.
The initiative has been developed slowly and carefully, with an emphasis on integrity, fairness, and long-term sustainability. It is intended to belong to the people it represents, and to grow through trust rather than spectacle.

Rhythms of the Rainbow Nation is a ground-breaking musical anthology celebrating the full spectrum of South Africa’s cultural and linguistic heritage. Across seventeen tracks, traditional sounds meet modern production to create an uplifting journey through the heart of Mzansi.
To ensure these stories resonate with everyone, each song includes English lyrics, making the message of our diverse cultures accessible to both local and international listeners. From Cape Flats goema beats and Khoisan healing chants to Basotho rhythms and Sanskrit fusion, this album captures a nation of eleven languages and one heartbeat—culminating in the powerful multilingual anthem, We Speak Eleven

Accessibility (SASL)
We Speak Eleven celebrates the cultural groups of South Africa. While SASL is not part of the musical or lyrical program, it plays a central role in accessibility, communication, and national inclusion. SASL Hub: A dedicated space providing inclusive access for Deaf visitors through interpreters, visual storytelling, and cultural education.
